Brandon and Kierstyn's Wedding

James' brother Brandon was married his best friend Kierstyn on May 8th in the Salt Lake Temple. It was a wonderful ceremony and a wonderful day! They picked the most beautiful venue to have their reception! It was truly breath taking!! My kids were so excited. They just love both Brandon and Kierstyn! We are so happy for them and wish them the best of luck in their new adventure called marriage!!

Baseball Season

Brett's team played the first game of the season tonight. Everyone did a great job and had a wonderful time. Brett was a great 1st baseman. He hit the second time that he was up to bat.
Looking forward to more great games. For us in the stands we hope that it will warm up, we are tired of being popcicles.

Baseball Season

So the craziness has started, I have never been so busy in my whole life! Brett started baseball a couple of weeks ago. We have practice at least 3 times a week, and now that it gets dark later, we get to practice until 7:45 PM. I feel like such an neglectful mom, my kids are not eating dinner until 8:00 PM.
On top of baseball we also have to juggle scouts too. Not only Brett's, but my Bear den. I am having to change times almost weekly. I hope everyone will be patient with us!

This year I let the kids pick out what cake they wanted. Brett picked this "pizza" cake. I think that it turned out pretty well!

My New Hobby

The girls will be getting baptized in just a couple of months. So I wanted to find a simple scripture bag pattern. This is what I found! It only takes me about 20 or so minutes to make and I just love them. So I thought why not try to sell them. They are $15.00, so if you are interested just let me know. I am taking orders just tell me your color preference and optional accessories and I will do my best to get them for you.

Funny Things Kids Say...

Jace such a funny kid! He is always saying little things that just crack us up. The other night after everyone was suppose to be in bed he came in my room and said "Mom, Kyzleigh is telling on me." I said "How can Kyzleigh be telling on you when she is in her bed?" His response is classic, "I don't know, but she is" Then in the hall he told Brett that he had told on Kyzleigh. I guess I should be glad that he doesn't know how to tattle yet.
Then yesterday we were shopping and Jace wanted some bananas so I grabbed some, he was so excited he squealed. Silly kid!

Jace's Surgery

For those of you who didn't know or for those of you who did, Jace had to have tubes put in his ears. We found this out when they did the hearing test at the school. This is something that I'm grateful that they do, you just don't think of having this done. He was such a trooper, he had to go without food almost all day! He never complained.

This is his "Mr. Potato Head" the arms wouldn't stay in the right holes so he swapped places with where the ears are suppose to be. Silly kid! He liked being a Primary Children's Hospital, they had great toys to play with!

This is Jace in the recovery room. He did such a great job, he woke up without any problems and went home in about 30 minutes instead of an hour or so. He never had any pain. When I asked him what he wanted for dinner he said "pizza". So we had pizza that night and they way he was running and playing with his sisters you would never have known that he had had surgery. I'm so glad that he did so well!!!

My Poor Tree!!!

So today when we got home from lunch, I noticed that my tree finally gave in and fell over. At least it held on during Christmas. James thought that there might still be some life left in it, but I don't think so any longer. It was a beautiful tree and it served us well. Thank You beautiful tree!!

I got lucky, James and I went looking for a tree the day after Christmas and we actually found one that was the right size and had the right kind of leaves. Yes I said the right kind of leaves...I know what you're thinking, Brandi is such a snob, and yes you would be right when it comes to Christmas trees. I want plastic branches not the silly paper ones. I got lucky, we only had to go to 2 stores! Next year we will have a beautiful 9 1/2 foot slim tree. I can't wait for Christmas!
