Max

We can never replace Harley, but the kids felt very strong about getting another dog soon. They all decided that we needed an animal in our life. So we headed off to the Humane Society. There we found the cutest Black Lab. I know, we didn't want a big dog, but we all fell in love at first sight. He never barks, in fact for a little while we thought that he might be deaf, but he can hear. He is just a great dog. So now we have our cute little Max in our family.

In Memory of our Dear Sweet Harley 10/01/08 - 12/22/08

Our sweet Harley passed away yesterday. She had an accident and got stuck in her leash and collar. She will be greatly missed. In the short time that she was with us, she taught my girls not to be afraid of dogs. She was teaching all of us patience. We love you Harley and will never forget you!

Twelve years ago (yesterday) James and I stood in a dear friends living room in front of a Judge and were married. Yes, for those of you that don't know, James and I eloped. This is what can happen when everyone thinks your too young to get married, and aren't supportive.

I am very grateful for the husband that I have. He is the best! Thank you James for being the best husband, dad and friend that any wife could ever ask for. I love you so much!!!!

I have my kitchen back...finally!

James has been so busy with work, he hasn't had much time to finish my island. He finally finished it. I love it!!! I have so much more room and my kitchen is far more functional.

Our new baby

If anyone knows my kids you know that they are afraid of any animal that moves, no matter how big or small. So the other day I had had enough. So we got a cute little beagle. Her name is Harley. She is adorable! These pictures show how small she is, but Jace is still afraid of her. I guess it will just take some time.

Red Ribbon Week

This year for Red Ribbon Week the kids wanted me to take pictures of the crazy things that they got to wear. It wasn't too crazy, the first day they got to wear hats to school, which everyone thought was great. The second day they wore their clothes backwards. This was actually really fun. Say NO to drugs!

Donut anyone?

The neighbor wanted to do the donut on a string game with all of the kids. The younger ones weren't sure of how to tackle the donut, but that didn't stop them from have a great time. The older kids new what to do, but the boys were kind of poor sports about the whole thing. But in the end they had a great time.

When you can't find what your looking for, make it!

I wanted something unique for my Mother-in-Laws birthday. I couldn't find anything that I really liked. So I went to Hobby Lobby (my favorite store). I found these cute words, and thought how cute would that look if I could add photos. So I took floral wire and made spiral holders for the pictures. Jean loved it!

I made this one for my friend, Stacey. Happy Birthday Stacey!!!

Another project...

James and I can't seem to get enough of projects. I'm kidding of course, but we did decide to add an island in the kitchen. I needed some more room, my kitchen just didn't work for me. It's still a work in progress, but it's wonderful. This will eliminate the need for a kitchen table. I can't wait until it's finally done.

This Summer

This summer we have been real busy. We have been doing the front yard. We did something different, we made a giant waterfall. We just LOVE it!

Help!!!!!

So I obviously don't know how to do the slide show. If anyone could give me any pointers that would be great.

Our trip to Orderville, Utah

This year for the 24th of July we went down to Southern Utah, Orderville to be exact. James' family owns the home that his grandfather grew up in. We go down there at least once a year. We have so much fun! We have to make our trip to the Coral Pink Sand Dunes, Rock shops, and any other hiking adventures that we can think of.
Every year we have to do the Coral Pink Sand Dunes. Now that the kids are getting bigger and know what to expect they have so much fun. They like to try and find lizards. This time the younger kids are the ones that found the lizard.
Darren brought his 2 four-wheelers, the kids had so much fun ridding them.
This year we decided to hike Red Hollow. It's alot like the narrows. Tall mountians on all sides. The kids had fun trying to carve their names in the rocks. They loved the white sand at the end of the hike.

Cub Country

So this is what happens when your computer has issues. Our family computer was doing crazy things so I only has my laptop which doesn't have any of my pictures on it. So here is what we have been doing for the last two months.

Brett went to Cub Country on July 11th and 12th. I went with them on Friday and James went with them on Saturday. We had lots of fun! He learned about stars and all kind of things about the galaxy. He played did a frisbee obstacle course, a regular obtacle course. He got to carve something out of soap, with a real pocket knife. They shot off "water bottle rockets". He shot a bow and arrow. All in all he had a great time, and so did all of the mom helpers.

Learning all of the rules to shoot a bow and arrow.

Getting to shoot the arrow. Brett was a pretty good shot. At least he hit the target.

Playing a silly game. They used their fingers as swords, to see who could win the battle.

Doing a frisbee obstacle course. It was fun watching the boys try to throw frisbees under, over and through things.

This is Brett carving a piece of soap. He was real frustrated because he couldn't get it just right. By he had fun and thats all that mattered.
