Crystal Hot Springs

James took Friday off so we wanted to find something fun to do. I found this Crystal Hot Springs and we decided to go up and have a look. Its ok, they need to do a little better job at maintaining the pools. The pools were really warm, which was great. The kids wanted to go on the waterslide, but the water that fed that was the cold spring. Let me tell you it was COLD it was like standing in ice water! James and I chickened out, and since none of my kids can swim they couldn't go down the slide. James complained about the drive, but it was nice to get out of the Salt Lake Valley and do something.

Report Cards

I think that some parents dread this time of the school year, but luckily I have kids that love school and do very well.

Brett did outstanding! He got all 4's, which is like straight A's. The third grade took the Iowa Test and Brett got a certificate that states he is in the top 10 nationally in Reading, Mathematics, Social Studies, Language, and Science! I am so proud of him, he works so hard and loves being at school. Next year he will be in the ALPS class, which is an accelerated program. I hope that I can keep up, sometimes I think he is smarter than I am.

Kyzleigh had a great report also. She got all 3's and 4's. She is a good reader and is above grade level. The only thing she needs to work on, is not being so shy. Way to go Kyz!!!

Kyra's report card was almost identical to Kyzleighs. She also got all 3's and 4's. She too is a great reader, and she is above grade level too. The only difference is that Kyra is not shy at all. Those who know the real Kyra will agree.

Jace isn't in school yet, but he comes with me every Tuesday when I help in the girls class. He likes to do the puzzles that the teacher has. He is looking forward to Kindergarten starting next school year.

This year we decided that since we have 3 kids birthdays in March and my sister Shauntel has a little one in March too, we would combine the birthdays. It was a great idea! We had a carnival, with a bouncy obstacle course. The kids had so much fun! I don't know what I was thinking, but I decided to do everything in one day. Meaning, we had a family party and a friend party all in the same day. I'm not sure I would recommend doing that, I am so tired!

Blue and Gold Banquet

For Scouts we had the Blue and Gold Banquet. They had a mixed up dinner, we had to pick from silly names and put them on the lines for appetizer, main course, and dessert. We didn't know exactly what we were going to get. Brett got a pad of butter and a spoon for his appetizer. His main course was pretty good, pizza, salad and a roll. For his dessert he had to eat his ice cream with a knife. They had a pinata, Brett was the first to hit it, he hit it on the back swing. Then his buddy Nick took a whack at it, and knocked it clean off the rope! It didn't break completely, so the Cub Masters had to break it apart and dump out the candy. I think Brett got the most, his lunch sack was almost full. We had a great time!

Two Crazy Kids!

Kyzleigh and Jace were having a "fat"shion to show, they were showing everyone how fat they could be. I don't even know how they fit so many blankets inside those PJ's. The best part of the show were the giggles that came from the models.

Supporting Brandon

Brett decided that he wanted to support Brandon, so he decided to shave his head. I think Brandon had fun doing it too. We tried to get Jace to join in and have his head shaved, but he wanted nothing to do with it. He only likes it when our friend Harvest cuts his hair.

Brett's Primary Talk

Brett gave the talk in Primary yesterday. He did a great job, until having to use the bathroom got the best of him. He started moving around a bit, then more, then he finally said "I think that I'll stop there." He ran down to his teacher and said "I have to go, NOW!" All the teachers laughed. It was so funny. I guess when you have to go you have to go!
